The coming year will start with quite a few changes and I am looking forward to an exciting 2012, new challenges and lovely collaborations.
This is why I enjoy all these calm hours before Christmas, listen to the sound of my sewing machine, have a cup of tea and try to keep an eye on a few very curious little fellows on my table (I wouldn´t be surprised to find them hiding in the biscuit tin as soon as I am busy with something else ;-)

Juliane | Fröken Skicklig
I am Juliane, a professional doll maker and puppeteer, originally from Berlin, Germany, where I was born in 1978, now based near Sösdala, a village in the south of Sweden.
After my studies in Puppetry/ Performing Arts at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts, Berlin, I have been working within the wide field of visual theatre and puppetry both as a scenographer and as a scenographer.
In 2008 I started with Fröken Skicklig to design cloth dolls for children. I began to write this blog only a few months later to share my photos and stories. In 2011 I took a long break from blogging and started again in 2012 with this journal of my work as a crafter and as a teacher in doll making.
